The New Timber Yard

The New Timber Yard sets a new standard for excellence, emphasizing sustainability and wellness. This secure office campus creates a tranquil haven nestled in the centre of Hammersmith. Designed with sustainability as a priority, New Timber Yard boasts EPC A and BREEAM Excellent certifications, making it a highly eco-friendly destination. It offers an estimated 70% reduction in annual operational costs compared to typical commercial new builds in London, ensuring it is built with the future in mind.

The reception lounge is vibrant core of New Timber Yard— flexibly designed for differing uses throughout the day. The space is filled with breakout areas and workstations that connect the entire campus and provide access to the adjacent courtyard. This thoughtfully designed area is perfect for informal meetings, collaborative presentations, hosting events, or enjoying interaction.

Once a lively timber yard serving the local community and the nearby river, New Timber Yard has been beautifully reimagined to retain the character of its original structures. Inspired by its rich heritage, the transformation incorporates timber and natural materials, placing a strong emphasis on sustainability. Founded in the late 19th century by Edward Moss, Moss & Co Timber moved to Hammersmith around 1905, gradually expanding the site over a century. Under Sidney Vaughan’s leadership, the company thrived despite wartime adversities, investing in new technologies to maintain its industry leadership. The Vaughan family directed Moss & Co to focus on quality, specializing in unique timbers and milling, which led to their provision of bespoke projects for the Royal Household, earning them a Royal Warrant in 2001.

A new sustainability-driven office campus for Hammersmith.
