“Cowen+Partners took what was at the time a flagship project for us all the way from its initial conception to delivery. They opened up an old Victorian industrial space creating light, modern fully functioning apartments and the results were award winning!”  West Eleven Ltd.

Our brief was to deliver a sensitive restoration and conversion of the three separate Victorian buildings – the Banke House, the Lodge House and the Coach House – to deliver a modern residential development. This also required the extensive re-working of circulation and focus on light and amenity for the deep floorplates. Cowen+Partners were also appointed as Interior Architects for the scheme.

Our design transformed the neglected delivered a contemporary and distinctive living environment that celebrates the history of the original buildings. Cowen+Partners’ design blends the old and new with carefully selected and positioned materials used to draw attention to the detail and craftsmanship of the original building. The unique residential units each set a benchmark for 21st century living, recognised with an AJ Retrofit Award.
